Cloudwalk music is rooted in electronic and ambient styles, with influences from new age, Berlin School, and classic electronic soundtrack styles.  A majority of his compositions are presented as live improvisations, using a variety of hardware and software synthesizers, played at the same time, and recorded directly to stereo masters.  With no overdubbing of additional parts and very little musical editing, these pieces are created to be music of the moment.

    With a love for many different styles of music, Cloudwalk's albums can be very eclectic, moving from soft and atmospheric to dramatic, romantic, and rhythmic compositions.  In 2008, he started to fuse together many of these music styles  and developed the improvisational Cloudwalk sound, releasing his first album, Skyscapes, in 2013.  Since then, he has produced several more releases and live performances as Cloudwalk.

     Paul Mehlhaff lives in Billings, Montana and works professionally as a video producer, with Cloudwalk music being a love that that is produced from his home studio.
